NIT Chassis Policy Update: Weekend HRCPII Bare Chassis Billing change (NIT only)

On Thursday, December 26, we announced the delay in implementing the NIT Chassis Yard policy change.

In addition, HRCPII will waive charges for drivers who outgate bare chassis from Norfolk International Terminal (NIT) each Friday, starting January 24, 2025. Drivers must reuse or return the chassis (to any HRCPII start/stop location) the following Monday to receive this weekend extension. Free-time will not apply to triaxle or genset chassis.

HRCPII reserves the right to adjust this waiver policy at any time with advanced prior notification.

Example 1: If a driver out-gates with a bare chassis on Friday and returns it on Monday, HRCPII will waive billing for Saturday, Sunday, and Monday.

Example 2: If a driver reuses the bare chassis to pull a container on Monday,  HRCPII will waive billing for Saturday and Sunday.
