The Port of Virginia will observe the following weekend operational gate hours for this weekend Saturday/Sunday, January 4-5th and next weekend, Saturday/Sunday, January 11-12th:
Saturday, Jan. 4th
- Norfolk International Terminal (NIT) and Virginia International Gateway (VIG) will open at 0600 hours, with an inbound portal closure of 1600 hours
- PRO-PASS mandatory reservation hours will be in effect at NIT and VIG
- Reservation hours to be released at 0900 on Thursday, Jan. 2nd
- Final reefer pick-up at 1530
- All empty returns will be designated by the Empty Return Matrix
- The Empty Return Matrix will be posted after 1500 on Tuesday, Dec. 31st
- PRO-PASS mandatory reservation hours will be in effect at NIT and VIG
- The Pinner’s Point Container Yard (PPCY) and the Portsmouth Chassis Yard (PCY) will open at 0600 hours, with last trucks in / last units handled at 1630 hours
- All empty returns will be designated by the Empty Return Matrix
- The Reefer Service Area (RSA) will remain CLOSED
Sunday, Jan. 5th
- Norfolk International Terminal (NIT) & Virginia International Gateway (VIG) will open at 0800 hours, with an inbound portal closure of 1600 hours
- PRO-PASS mandatory reservation hours will be in effect at NIT and VIG
- Reservation hours to be released at 0900 on Thursday, Jan. 2nd
- Final reefer pick-up at 1530
- All empty returns will be designated by the Empty Return Matrix
- The Empty Return Matrix will be posted after 1500 on Tuesday, Dec. 31st
- PRO-PASS mandatory reservation hours will be in effect at NIT and VIG

- All empty returns will be designated by the Empty Return Matrix
- The RSA will remain CLOSED
Sunday, Jan. 12th
- Norfolk International Terminal (NIT) & Virginia International Gateway (VIG) will open at 0700 hours, with an inbound portal closure of 1100 hours
- PRO-PASS mandatory reservation hours will be in effect at NIT and VIG
- Reservation hours to be released at 0900 on Thursday, Jan. 9th
- Final reefer pick-up at 1030
- All empty returns will be designated by the Empty Return Matrix
- The Empty Return Matrix will be posted after 1500 on Wednesday, Jan. 8th
- PRO-PASS mandatory reservation hours will be in effect at NIT and VIG
- The Pinner’s Point Container Yard (PPCY) and the Portsmouth Chassis Yard (PCY) will open at 0700 hours, with last trucks in / last units handled at 1130 hours
- All empty returns will be designated by the Empty Return Matrix
- The RSA will remain CLOSED
The weekday operational gate hours at all marine terminals and support facilities will remain unchanged.
